Mr. Berry has been with Camden County Schools since 2007 and was named principal of Camden County High School in August of 2010. He is a graduate of Camden County High School and a veteran of the United States Navy Submarine Force. Mr. Berry received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Elizabeth City State University, a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from The George Washington University, and an Education Specialist degree from The George Washington University. Mr. Berry was formerly a social studies teacher at Camden County High School and the assistant principal of CamTech. Mr. Berry was named the 2013-2014 Camden County Schools' Principal of the Year, the 2014 Northeast Regional Principal of the Year, and the 2016 NASSP North Carolina Secondary Principal of the Year. In his free time, Mr. Berry enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and daughter.
James Oliver
Assistant Principal

Mr. Oliver has been the assistant principal of Camden County High School since the 2006-2007 school year. He served in the United States Air Force and worked in the Virginia Beach City Public School System for more than 30 years. He has also taught college courses in the United Kingdom. He attended The University of Tennessee and received his degrees from Old Dominion University in Norfolk. He holds degrees in Education, Accounting, Business and Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Public School Administration from Old Dominion University. He is married with 3 children and a step son. He officiated basketball in the Tidewater Area for over 20 years and Wheelchair Basketball throughout the United States and The United Kingdom.
Mark Harnly
Athletic Director

Coach Harnly has been with Camden County Schools since 1995. He has served as the head coach of the Bruins Varsity Basketball team for more than 20 years and has coached numerous other sports. In addition to his duties as Athletic Director, Coach Harnly serves as a Physical Education teacher. He is a graduate of Camden County High School and received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from East Carolina University. Coach Harnly’s wife Melissa is a teacher at Camden Intermediate School and they have two children, who are both students at Camden County High School.
