Biology

This course is designed to continue student investigation of the biological sciences begun in grades K-8. In depth study of the following concepts is included: the cell, the molecular basis of heredity, biological evolution, the interdependence and behavior of organisms, matter, energy and organization in living systems, and the adaptive responses of organisms. Students enrolled in Biology will be required to take and pass the North Carolina EOC exam. Students must score a level 3 or 4 to be considered proficient in the course.
