Bruin Families,
We are extremely excited about graduation on Friday and celebrating the Class of 2026. While we are all hoping for good weather, we also want everyone to be prepared for the possibility of an indoor ceremony.
Our students and community have expressed that they want graduation to take place where their journey began rather than at an off-site facility. We want to honor that wish and celebrate this important milestone at CCHS. Because of that decision, certain accommodations and limitations must be in place to ensure the ceremony is safe, organized, and meaningful for everyone involved.
Those who know me well know how much I care about our students and families. I truly wish we could accommodate every situation, but an indoor graduation comes with limitations that are beyond our control. Even my own son who is graduating will receive 7 tickets.
Please review the important information below regarding the indoor graduation plan. The final decision will not be made until Friday morning.
Indoor Graduation Tickets
If graduation is moved indoors, each graduate will receive 7 tickets.
Students will sign when they receive their tickets.
Once tickets are distributed, they become the student’s responsibility.
Lost or misplaced tickets will not be replaced for any reason.
Every person entering the gym, including small children, must have a ticket.
Please do not call the school requesting extra tickets, as we do not have extras.
Families needing additional tickets should communicate with other families who may have extras available.
Building Entry
All guests will enter through the front of the building.
Guests parking in the back should walk under the overhang, through the breezeway, and around to the front entrance, just as we do for football and basketball events.
Once guests enter the gym, they will not be allowed to leave and re-enter.
Seating Information
Reserved seating will be available for graduates, board members, teachers, and special guests.
All other seating will be first-come, first-served.
Guests may not reserve rows or save multiple seats.
If the gym reaches capacity, overflow seating will be available in the cafeteria, including for guests with tickets.
The cafeteria will have at least two screens livestreaming the ceremony. This option may also be more comfortable for guests who prefer less crowded seating or for those without tickets.
Graduation will also be livestreamed, and that information will be shared on Friday.
Accessibility
Guests using wheelchairs or needing assistance entering the gym may be dropped off at the front entrance.
Doors Open
The building will not open for guests until 6 pm.
Watch Live
We will send out a livestream link on Friday. It will also be available on our website.
Parking
To help with traffic and parking, we encourage parents to drop students off near the back of the Media Center at 6 pm.
Students who must drive should park near the football field along the tracks or in the paved parking lot by the grain bins.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we work to make graduation a memorable experience for everyone. We are proud of our seniors and look forward to celebrating this special milestone together. Keep checking the CCHS website under Class of 2026 Information Updates.
Outside Graduation
Holding graduation outdoors means there will be no restrictions on the number of guests each student can invite. We will have two entrances available for guests: the back entrance closest to the gym and the main entrance at the front of the school. Gates will open at 6 pm, and guests of our seniors will not be allowed to enter before that time. Remember, seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Anyone needing assistance getting to their seats may use the golf carts available at the front gate. The cafeteria will also be available for anyone who would prefer to watch the live stream indoors.
We're thrilled to celebrate this milestone achievement with the class of 2026 and the entire Camden community.
