Camden County High School

Due to road conditions and anticipated continued flooding in portions of our county, Camden County Schools will operate on a two hour delay tomorrow morning, Wednesday, September 18, 2024. There may be certain roads that buses cannot go down or that are unsafe for drivers after 10:00 am. In this case, student absences will be excused but please have a parent/guardian contact the school by 12:00 pm tomorrow to let them know.

We only have the fan shop open once per year. If you'd like to purchase items and show your support of our award winning CMS and CCHS bands, this is the only opportunity to get those shirts, hats, and other band logo items. We were recently made aware of a potential threat against schools with a Camden reference. We have been in communication with the Camden County Sheriff's Department, and at this time, we have no evidence that it is a credible threat, or even a reference to Camden County Schools in North Carolina. The safety of our students and staff is a priority of Camden County Schools. We are thankful for students and families who support our school system and inform us when they see or hear anything that could potentially impact schools. We encourage you to continue to be vigilant and to communicate any concerns.

Game Day Update The Football game Camden vs Perquimans has been updated. The game will be played on Thursday, August 29th at 6:30pm at Home. Tickets are $8.00 Please wear your best Red, White and Blue to support our BRUINS.

We are looking for donations for our freshmen orientation! We need hot dogs, hot dog buns, and cookies. Please help if you can! Items can be dropped off on August 12th. Hot dogs can be dropped off before this date and will be placed in freezers until the event. Thank you for your support!

2024 Summer Career Accelerator Camp are still open for registration! Middle School Baking begins June 24th, still a few seats available; High School Baking Camp July 8th and Middle School Interior Design the week of July 22nd with Mrs. Parrish! The Middle School and High School bands cordially invite you to our annual Spring Concert events. Come out and share the evening with us. We only have a few of these events each year, and we'd love the opportunity to share them with you. I think you would be AMAZED at the level of musicianship and professionalism our ensembles create. The CCHS/CECHS Concert is this week on Thursday. The CMS Concert is held on Tuesday May 14. Both events are at COA beginning at 6:30. Both events are free and open to the public.

Just a reminder for students and staff that this Friday, March 22nd at 1:00pm there will be a Mandatory Senior Meeting in the cafeteria for all seniors graduating this June.

All students interested in being a member of the 2024 blue machine must attend a meeting with their parents in the CCHS cafeteria on Tuesday, March 27 @ 6:30 pm . The meeting is required for all new and returning members.

Mark your calendars for a special day of appreciation – School Bus Driver Appreciation Day on Thursday, February 22nd. Join us in celebrating the outstanding dedication of your child's bus driver. Their incredible commitment to ensuring the safety of our students during their journeys to and from school deserves recognition. Let's also extend our gratitude to the entire transportation department for their hard work in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our school buses. Your support in acknowledging these essential members of our team is truly appreciated.

Winter Formal - As we gear up for the Winter Formal Dance, we want to remind everyone of the importance of maintaining a respectful attire. Please ensure your outfit is appropriate for a school setting by following school dress code guidelines. We hope to have an enjoyable and inclusive event for all. If you plan to wear a mask to compliment your attire please wear a Masquerade mask, no other masks (i.e. Halloween) will be permitted. Single tickets are $15 and Couple tickets are $25.
