Congratulations to our Men’s Soccer Team on an impressive season opener yesterday! The Bruins came away with a 4–0 victory over Bear Grass.
This young team brings a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and excitement to the field. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish this season! The Bruins will travel to Currituck tomorrow for their next match. Their next home game is Monday, August 17th, at 5:00 p.m. against NEATT. Come out, show your Bruin pride, and support our Bruins! Freshman Parents,
It was great meeting and interacting with our Freshmen today! They had the opportunity to meet their classmates, receive their schedules, have some fun, and practice finding their classes. They did a fantastic job!
Now, it’s your turn! Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, is our Freshman Parent Meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the CCHS Cafeteria.
Your child does not need to attend the meeting. The only students who should attend are Freshmen who were unable to attend today, along with any new 10th- or 11th-grade students who are new to Camden County High School.
We look forward to seeing all of our Freshman parents tomorrow evening! We’ll share important information to help you and your student get off to a great start.
CCHS Chromebook Pickup Information | 2026–2027
Chromebook pickup is right around the corner! Please review the attached flyer carefully so your student has everything needed to receive their school-issued Chromebook.
📅 Freshman Orientation – Monday, August 10 | 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Freshmen attending Orientation may turn in their required items during check-in and receive their Chromebook as part of Orientation.
📅 Additional Chromebook Pickup Dates:
• Tuesday, August 11 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Friday, August 14 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
✅ Before a Chromebook can be issued, students must have a completed Technology Form signed by both the student and parent/guardian, the $30 Supply & Technology Fee paid, and all outstanding balances or items from the previous school year cleared.
If you completed the Technology Form through Infinite Campus or paid the fees online, please let us know at pickup so we can verify it in our system. Payments made at pickup are cash or check only.

Students will: This fun and informative event will give students a strong start to their high school journey. You’ll meet staff and student leaders, tour the campus, and receive important information to help you feel confident on the first day. Reminder Freshman and New Student Parent Info Night | Tuesday, August 11th at 6:00 PM
We invite all parents of incoming freshmen as well as any new 10th or 11th grade students to join us for an informative evening in the CCHS cafeteria as we kick off this exciting high school journey together. Students who did not attend the Freshman Orientation on Monday are welcome to come! We will offer school tours to ensure they feel comfortable navigating the building, along with other important information to help them start strong. Students who already attended orientation do not need to attend this evening session.
💬 During the meeting, we’ll share helpful information, answer your questions, and highlight the many ways we’ll work together to support your student’s success throughout their freshman year and beyond.

CAMDEN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
June 3, 2026
The Camden County Board of Education will have its regular meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the Camden County Public Library for various purposes. The Board will hold a closed session at 5:00 p.m. to discuss one or more confidential personnel matters, as allowed by NCGS 143-318.11(a)(1),(3),(5), and (6). The closed session will be followed by an open session at 7:00 p.m. The open session is open to the public in accordance with the North Carolina Open Meetings law. The meeting will be livestreamed.
🚧 Upcoming Road Work on Highway 343 Near New High School Site
Road improvements are scheduled to begin on June 1st along Highway 343, near the location of the new high school. This project will continue for several weeks and includes widening the roadway and adding new turning lanes to improve long‑term traffic flow and safety.
During construction, drivers should expect periodic traffic delays in the area. Please plan extra travel time and use caution when driving through the work zone.
He rehearsed with other students from across the state on the campus of NC State the weekend of April 17 & 18, performing a concert on April 18 under the direction of Dr Colleen Clark of University of South Carolina.

Camden County Board of Education
The Camden County Board of Education will hold a Special Called Meeting to conduct a CTE and Budget work session in the Camden County School Conference Room of Grandy Primary School, located at 175 N.C. Hwy 343, Camden, NC 27921, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, beginning at 5 p.m. Following the work sessions, the Board will hear updates on the construction of the new high school and may consider and approve a fiber contract and a resolution regarding the State budget. The Board may also enter closed session to discuss one or more confidential matters pursuant to NCGS 143-318.11(a)(1), (a)(3), and (a)(6). There will not be a public comment segment during the work session, nor will the meeting be livestreamed.
